A celebrated bilingual author, filmmaker, actor, former IPS officer and present MLA from Chanchal, Malda, West Bengal, Prasun Banerjee dons many hats. He straddles a world of experience as a lawmaker to his undying commitment to be ‘with the people’ and ‘for the people.’ He is also the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Information Technology & Technical Education, a Member of the Standing Committee on Higher Education, and a Member of the Standing Committee on Public Undertakings. Touching upon human lives through his NGO, Prasun Banerjee juggles between his legal lectures, working for his constituency and penning down thrillers for young adults. Banerjee is often seen behind the camera, making films on social and climate issues as learning lessons for the masses. When at leisure, which is rare for him, he plays cricket and is passionate about collecting ‘Cricket Bats’ from across the globe.
